RISK ASSESSMENT
Imagine operating a project half way around the globe, on a remote island that was once a national park, and is now a Class A nature reserve. Shipment of any kind, from capital equipment to steel tote tanks, are required to guarantee zero introduction of any foreign species, including seeds. This is just the local issue. The broader challenge is where the feedstock was coming from. In the event of a pandemic or an act of nature, the less prepared will run into unscheduled shutdown, and impacting total operating cost.
